Brief description

Mercury Construction has recently completed a 22-week contract to carry out dilapidations works and refurbishment of Eagle House, Langage, on behalf of the outgoing tenant.

For the last twenty- five years the building has been used as a data centre and archive, and now, no longer required by the tenant, has been handed back to the landlord and is available for rental.

The contract administrators for the project were Faithful + Gould, and although the contract period proved to be tight, there was no option for the contract to run over as the lease on the building was due to expire, meaning that any additional work had to be accommodated within the contracted timescale. This was successfully achieved with the co-operation of all parties involved, the landlord’s agents, the contract administrators and most importantly our supply chain.
